Introducing some rising stars in the world of Hip-Hop. Featured here are recording and performing artists C.O.A.S.T.A.L., Ryan Officer, Eni'mee Ov Tha State and Sin' seer. The featured music is "Ride With Me" by Sin' Seer |
Sin' seer Born and raised in Chicago’s “wild 100’s,” Sin’seer and his four siblings had to be resourceful to survive. Sin’seer and his sister, Gifted (now a poet and MC), were extremely imaginative and creative, inventing new street games. Gifted came up with a new pastime, known as Rap and Beat boxing. Rap and Beatboxing was battled out on the street and at house parties. It became Sin’seer’s and Gifted’s new trade. Inspired by artists such as Eric B and Rakim, EPMD, NWA, Gangstarr, Slick Rick, and Geto Boys, and bursting with his own talent, Sin’seer was driven to succeed. Working hard, he perfected his own craft to become the coldest in the game. However, hard work and talent aren’t always enough to keep a young man from falling into the depth and despair of impoverished surroundings. The combination of rough streets and bad choices ended with the incarceration of Sin’seer. Sin’seer utilized his incarceration period as a time of deep-reflection. Sin’seer came to the realization that gang banging and hustling was not the way to live life. He recognized that he could use Hip Hop to spread his enlightenment. With songs like “True Principles and Split Personalities,” Sin’seer has definitely changed the game forever. Sin’seer spreads the word through the Random Motivational Program at Chicago Public Schools, and has performed at: Jacks Java, Cotton Club, YMCA Hip Hop Summer Festivals, Altgeld Gardens Youth Center, Harold Washington College, and Northern Illinois University. Sin’seer has also performed with D.A. Smart, Common Sense, and Men at Large. Sin’seer has had writing sessions with Kevin Shines and is currently working with Enoch Muhammad/Music Industry Delegate, and Allen Muhammad of La La Records Midwest Region. Ryan Officer At a early Ryan Officer was influenced by his father James (poet). With his poet background Ryan was able to make the transition into hip hop emcee with little difficulty. Whether Free-styling or written rhymes it is easy to see that Ryan Officer is a major talent. Ryan's delivery is reminiscent of the emcee styling's that pioneered hip hop music. With his strong topics, spirituality, and "no profanity" approach to music, Ryan Officer is not to be compared to the one dimensional "bling-bling" rappers that flood the market today. As a self proclaimed "Boom-Bap Beat producer" Ryan Officer is a sure fit for any hardcore hip hop fan.
